Importing a PKCS #12 key store

Use this option to import a PKI SSL certificate, which is required for the reverse proxy. This ensures that all communication between the end user and the eperi sEcure Platform is fully encrypted.

Before you begin

Provide a PKI SSL certificate created as a PKCS #12 key store. For details about the required certificate, see the SSL Certificate Requirements in the section System requirements for eperi sEcure Platform.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to TLS (TLS Keys) tab.
  2. Click Import.

  3. In the pop-up menu, provide required data:
    1. Select your PKCS #12 Key Store file you want to import.
    2. Enter the Key Store's password.
    3. Click Next.
    In our example, the name of the Key Store file is swdemo.eperi-cdp.de.p12.

  4. In the next dialogue, please perform the following steps:
    1. Select the Key Alias you want to use.
    2. Enter the password for the Key.
    3. Enter the (display) name of your PKCS #12 Key Store.
    4. Click Submit.

Results

The imported PKCS #12 key store is added to the eperi sEcure Platform and is displayed on the list of keys. With an Expand Button option, which displays the certificate infos of the certificates contained by the imported keys.

Important: Keep the PKCS #12 key store file secure since it contains the private key of the CA!
