Managing (additional) authentication

The optional Proxy Users tab is only required if you intend to set up an additional level of authentication for your users. Typically your SaaS application will provide the necessary authentication, and the eperi sEcure Platform will simply pass through this authentication to the SaaS application.

However, the eperi sEcure Platform also offers the option to provide an additional level of authentication with every app (each is configured separately in the app configuration – see Standard settings for apps) and gives either HTML form based authentication, or browser based HTTP authentication, depending on which is configured. Furthermore, it is also possible to use these additional authentication methods using Active Directory, as an alternative to adding these "Internal Users" in the Authentication tab (Internal User Bind).
