Known limitations
The following items are known limitations in this release.
| Affected Components | Description |
|---|---|
| eperi sEcure M365 | Copying/Moving/Deleting folders between different (delegated) mailboxes can cause target folder contents to be displayed incorrectly. |
| eperi sEcure M365 | Sometimes, messages sent via Teams on iOS are encrypted for the sender. |
| eperi sEcure M365 | When opening a PowerPoint document in the Microsoft Teams app on iPadOS, the preview cannot be generated. |
| Affected Components | Description |

| eperi sEcure Platform |
In case the eperi sEcure Platform has been deployed manually on Tomcat, there is the following limitation: even if Tomcat has been stopped, the respective Java process will continue to run. Therefore it is necessary to kill this process manually. |
| eperi sEcure Platform |
Configuring Ignite for improving eperi sEcure Platform cluster management will be made more convenient in an upcoming release. |
Functional limitations
Limitations that apply to both Forward Proxies and Reverse Proxies:
- Outlook on the web: The Live Persona Card is not supported.
- Conversation View in Outlook is not supported.
- Currently, embedded objects contained in a Rich Text Format (RTF) email are not encrypted.
- Including voting buttons in an MS Outlook email message as well as setting expiration dates for email messages are not supported.
- Search filters don't support all languages.
- Encryption of OneNote documents is not supported.
- Encryption via Visio (online-editing) is not supported.
- Push notifications for Teams messages are not decrypted on managed iOS devices.
- Loop components are not yet fully supported for encryption.
- Documents uploaded to OneDrive or SharePoint via Skype for Business, Outlook, or Flow are not encrypted.
- SharePoint: Data in forms for Custom Lists is not encrypted.
- Office desktop apps: Features that rely on the native sync between Office desktop apps and OneDrive, such as collaboration and file versioning, are currently not supported. However, versioning is supported when using OOS browser apps.
- Office Online Server: File Sharing with the option "People with existing access" is not supported.
- File links shared via the web interface are not rewritten to the Reverse Proxy URL for internal recipients.
- Teams:
- Videos sent via Teams cannot be played reliably in web browsers.
- Office files: When using Collabora or Office Online Server, Office files shared in Teams chats cannot be opened in Teams. The workaround is to set the "File open preference" option to "Browser". For configuration details, see Microsoft Support: Open file links directly in Microsoft 365 desktop apps from Teams and classic Outlook.
- OfficeMail Enterprise app: If S/MIME emails are not excluded from encryption, signed emails might not be visible.
Limitations that only apply to reverse proxies:
- Due to Microsoft's announced deprecation of basic authentication, apps such as Outlook will no longer work in reverse proxy mode afterwards. Therefore, the respective devices will need to be configured for using a forward proxy instead. eperi recommends using the OfficeMail Enterprise app on mobile devices with the eperi sEcure Platform.
- SharePoint: The "Export to Excel" function is not supported.
- OneDrive Online: The preview of TXT files uploaded in Shared Libraries is not supported.
