Search stops working in Outlook

Condition

The search function in Microsoft Outlook stops working.

Remedy

Procedure

  1. Open Outlook and click File > Options > Search > Indexing Options > Modify.
  2. Uncheck Microsoft Outlook and click OK.
  3. Close and restart Outlook.
  4. Check if search results work as intended.
  5. In Outlook, go again to File > Options > Search > Indexing Options > Modify.
  6. Check Microsoft Outlook and click OK.
