Deactivating the separate token database

If you no longer need the separate token database, you can deactivate it.

Before you begin

To deactivate this feature in the Advanced eperi sEcure Platform Configuration of the eperi sEcure Platform Settings, the administrator permission Modify Advanced Configuration is required. By default, this permission is only assigned to the Global Administrator role.

About this task

Note: In a cluster setup with multiple Gateways, deactivating the separate database for token values may take up to 4 seconds!

Procedure

  1. In a cluster setup, stop all proxies in all eperi sEcure Platform instances.
  2. If necessary, migrate all tokens from the token database to the default Gateway database.
  3. Log in to the eperi sEcure Admin Console of an eperi sEcure Platform instance and select Settings > Advanced Gateway Configuration.
  4. Uncheck the de.eperi.ca.base.db.TokenDatabase.isActivated checkbox and then click Apply.
  5. Restart the proxies in each eperi sEcure Platform instance.

Results

You have successfully deactivated the separate token database. New tokens will be stored in the default eperi sEcure Platform database as configured in the Admin Console in Settings > Database.
