Disabling online search in Outlook (as required)

In general, the eperi sEcure Platform supports online search in Outlook. If you find that it does not work, we recommend that you disable it. Once disabled, only Windows Desktop Search (WDS) is used.

1. Add a Group Policy for the following Group Policy registry path:

   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Search

2. Create a new registry item with the following values:
   • DWORD: DisableServerAssistedSearch
   • VALUE: 1
3. Alternatively, add a registry key on each Windows client to the registry path and with the values mentioned above.
