This section describes how to install and configure the eperi sEcure M365 for a test or POC environment. For a production environment, we recommend a cluster setup for performance and availability reasons. If so, follow the steps as described in the Administrator Manual, section Cluster setup.
Setting up the Microsoft 365 tenant
The following configuration is done in the Microsoft 365 tenant. You will need to log into the tenant as a full administrator.

In the next section, a user will be created which is used by the eperi sEcure Platform to impersonate users for the purpose of searching and getting user context for eperi sEcure Platform operations.

In the next section, a user will be created which is used by the eperi sEcure Platform to impersonate users for the purpose of searching and getting user context for eperi sEcure Platform operations.

Procedure

In the Microsoft 365 admin center, go to Users and create a new user. This user is used by eperi sEcure Platform to impersonate users for the purpose of searching and getting user context for eperi sEcure Platform operations. The user does not need to have a license or special roles.

Results

You have created the EWS Default User. Please make note of the UPN for later configuration.
